Why Protect Your Wireless Equipment?

National Cellular Owners Association). You may be required to pay FULL PRICE for a new phone or lose your wireless service. And early cancellation costs may apply if you don't purchase a replacement and keep your wireless service active. Replacing your equipment can be costly and inconvenient, UNLESS you have Phone Protection.
How is Phone Protection different than device warranty?
Phone Protection is a replacement plan in the case of theft, loss, accidental damage, or device failure (regardless of warranty time timeframe). Calling the manufacturer for warranty service can be difficult and time consuming. With Phone Protection, your device is replaced quickly, usually with one easy call!
What is covered under this plan?
- One Wherifone device, as well as the battery and SIM card that is part of the loss and is associated with the account subscribed to the plan
- One standard battery charger
- One accessory, if it is part of the loss
How Much Does This Cost?
A low monthly fee of $1.95 will be conveniently added to your Wherify bill - no separate invoices or checks to write. A deductible of $40 applies to processed claims.
How do I sign up for this optional feature?
You can sign up Phone Protection when you purchase and activate your new Wherifone at 1-877-818-9728. A Wherify customer service representative will walk you through the process to sign up for the feature. If you elect coverage, it may be cancelled and reinstated at any time while your Wherifone is in service. Any changes will take effect starting the following month; the Protection Plan is a monthly contract.
How Do I File A Claim?
Filing a claim is simple and easy. In order to file a claim, you must:
- Be the primary name on the account
- Report the claim within 30 days of the incident
- Be subscribed to the Phone Protection Plan at the time of the incident
- Have an active account for your claim to be honored
Then take the following steps:
- Report the incident to the police department and obtain a case number, if your equipment is lost or stolen
- Call Wherify at 1-877-818-9728 to temporarily suspend your service and prevent unauthorized calls, and provide the following information:
- Your Wherifone phone number
- Name of police department and case number from the police department, if your equipment is lost or stolen
- Your Wherifone Subscriber ID, PIN, IMEI and Serial numbers
